Since 1993, the Mission of the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation has been to work side by side with the medical community to provide social, emotional, educational, financial and psychological support services and programs to families of ALL children diagnosed with a life threatening or critical illness such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, hemophilia, renal disorders and other immunologic diseases.

NCCF is fortunate to have the support of Speedway Children's Charities for our Camp Cartwheel summer program. With their generous funding, our NCCF kids attend camp at no cost to their families and are given the chance to feel normal regardless of their physical differences due to treatment and disease. And for this, we are so very thankful to Speedway Children's Charities.

Created in 1996, Camp Cartwheel is an overnight and 24 hour medically supervised summer camp serving 130 critically ill children and their siblings living in Southern Nevada. It welcomes critically ill children diagnosed with cancer, sickle cell, HIV/AIDS, hemophilia, renal and immunologic diseases for summer camp activities such as hiking, swimming, canoeing, scuba diving, arts and crafts, karate, archery, rock wall climbing and more. Camp Cartwheel hosts critically ill children and their siblings from 5 to 17 years of age along with over 160 volunteers for 5 fun filled day and 4 nights. Camp Cartwheel remains the largest summer camp for critically ill children in Nevada and is located just 45 minutes from Las Vegas.
