The Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities held its fourth annual golf tournament on Monday, June 5, at the exclusive SouthShore Golf Course at Lake Las Vegas. The tournament raised more than $17,000 for the children of Las Vegas and Southern Nevada. Golfers Rick Anderson, Chris McCullough, Ken Ebalo and Jim Villella took first place in the tournament, defeating 26 other teams. The day also included a Skins competition which was split between three groups, a luncheon and awards ceremony. Television star Mickey Jones of the Dukes of Hazzard and Home Improvement participated in the event, playing in a group from Wichita, Kan., that won the opportunity to play in his foursome at the Annual NASCAR Driver Auction. Last December, the Las Vegas Chapter distributed more than $275,000 to 67 local charities at its annual Grant Distribution Ceremony.
